His ego borders on psychotic...and that’s the problem. He is a genius, not doubt about that, but there is certainly a touch of madness in him that frankly scares the hell out of me.

I am proud of Alan Keyes.

At least someone has the courage to stand up to the
slippery socialist slide into communism.

Alan Keyes has the spine to stand up for the constitution.

I guess anyone you consider sane is a spineless rino
who sells out our country.

Remember the days we used to see Alan Keyes’ name and be proud? It just doesn’t happen anymore. Sorry

I'm still proud of him. He is one of the few that "still gets it". He understands the connection between the economy and security of a nation with its morality.

-- He had everything *except* the requisite humility ... --

I think the humility factor is but one of several. Whatever his sense of humor is, and humor is a large part of humanity, it's hidden.

On financial matters, he has the reputation of a grifter. I think that criticism is a crutch of his critics; that is, the grifter criticism is not of much weight.

His observations and suggestions deserve serious reflection, and it's a shame that his comments come "pre-rebutted" merely for coming from him.

Y’all still haven’t decided who the disloyal Obama electors are supposed to vote for. McCain? Biden? Hillary?

This is the most uncontested, contested election in history. If Hillary had just brought this issue up last year, she would be getting sworn in on Jan 20, yes?

LBJ ‘68, Ford ‘76, Carter ‘80, Bush ‘92. All were incumbent Presidents challenged in primaries. I predict Obama won’t even run ‘12. A failed presidency.

BTW, there is a reason an elector or 2 is disloyal. Any election that goes to the House, someone who received zero electoral votes is ineligible. Only top 3 vote getters.

I am still waiting for the Tilden vs. Hayes historians to hold their rally. That is one rally I would attend.

Keyes got too 'uppity' for you, eh?

There's a fine line between true genius and madness.

And sometimes, in times like these, a little madness is what you need.

The Left has made either drones or cowards out of most of the U.S. Who will stand up to Obama and counter the almost air-tight corruption of his rise to power?

Who?

No one is perfect, not even Ronaldus Magnus. But when I read Alan Keye’s take on virtually any issue, (and I am talking about his writings and comments, not some left wing newspaper reporter who thinks that he understands what he means) I find myself in total agreement with what Alan is saying on the issues almost 100% of the time. With most prominent political “conservative” figures today, including the Republican party's most recent nominee, we are lucky to find more than one or two that reaches even the 50th percentile of what most of us on FR believe. (Yet we dare not criticize them for their positions on the issues because they are a little bit more conservative than their opponent.)
We have become like the abused spouse who, despite being beaten, degraded and humiliated, keeps taking the guy back in hope that things will change. Sorry, but I'm ready for the divorce.
No, Alan isn't perfect. But when we look at what he has to say, and would do if he ever had the chance, he is clearly the best that we have.

Well .. Ron Paul is also an isolationist who does not believe there is ever a reason to go to war.

Therefore, whether he holds the Constitution in reverence or not .. he’s not president material. The President’s primary job is to protect the people .. and if he won’t even fight for America .. how can he be her president.

While I’m sure you’re qualified to speak about madness I doubt if you’re qualified to diagnose it.

I'll tell you why I have animosity against Alan Keyes. It's because he held out so much hope of being another Ronald Reagan, but as I got to know him (through his TV program) I came to realize that he was motivated almost exclusively by his own ego.

Well, if his ego is the only thing driving him to address the issue that most "conservatives" are too gutless to address, then I say let his ego run wild.

Alan Keyes is a Constitutional Scholar. If you’re not proud, then that is your problem.

Then again, have you honestly thought about why you now believe the way you believe now? TURN OFF THE TV

That is all I will say.....

Hopefully somebody that holds a bit of clout...not somebody who is considered a joke. I'm just the messenger, people. I'm very surprised by how I've been attacked for stating what most everbody already knows.
