Excellant points.
Maybe we can use Freep to mobilize our local and state efforts to organize the conservative movement.
all that said, Freep still brings out the information in one spt that we woud other wise not have, and speaks to many who want that info.
True. But I wonder how helpful the downthread part really is.
How helpful is knowing little comments like, "Ahmish again! /sarc" or "Guilty!" or "Bush is a sellout!" or "Nobama isn't my president!" or "Don't blame me I voted for Duncan."
In general, FR is little more than a way to "have your say" on Drudge Report articles.
There's very little original posted other than what the MSM determine we should discuss.
What might be interesting is a site that merely allows posting of ACTIONS regarding articles/topics.
For example an article on a leftist could be posted, and his office phone could be posted, and the more pings it gets (and the calls made) the more it gets bttt.
My point is that there's little "direct action" created by FR. In fact, posters' motivation to act in the real political world is probably reduced once they have their say in a FR post.
