You want to fire someone, go after the "lead investigator". The rest of the LEOs were not culpable.

"Just following orders" didn't fly in Nuremberg, why should it fly here? The police engaging in a raid have some basic knowledge of what they're looking for and why, and what they might face when they get there - that's just basic tactics - and you would think they'd know the address as part of that basic pre-raid information, rather than just charging in whatever direction the lead investigator points.

Cops are not soldiers, they're civilians.

Other than the lead investigator, I fail to see where the other officers acted improperly - in this case.

Nuremberg? An apples and oranges comparison. Nuremberg was about heinous crimes against humanity.

Even civilians “follow orders” when it is the correct course of action. If the correct house information was available in the pre-raid muster, then yes, I would say that the whole team shared some responsibility. Otherwise if the Lead brought a bogus house number to the muster I don’t see it as proper for the team to (other than jokingly) question his investigation.
