Only those who approve of these tactics No. It was "harsh language to describe a despicable act".
Its getting harder to keep them all straight, isn't it?
What despicable act did my fellow Freepers commit at post time?
you seem to have no qualms about calling me a liar
None whatsoever. I have no qualms calling you 'Tina' either.
Have you found the argument you were trolling for, or did
you sidetrack yourself by calling Freepers "jackboot lickers"?

Donald Scott
Age 62 at the time of his death at his home in Malibu, CA. on October 2, 1992.
Scott and his wife, Frances Plante, were awakened by violent pounding at the door on the morning of October 2, 1992. As Frances attempted to open the door, a narcotics task force from the LA County Sheriffs Dept. burst into the home, weapons in hand.
Frances was pushed forcefully from the door at gun point. She cried out, Dont shoot me, dont kill me! With a gun aimed at her head, Frances looked to her right and saw Donald charging into the room, waving a revolver above his head. She heard a deputy shout, Put the gun down! Put the gun down! Put the gun down! As Scott was doing so, Frances heard three gun shots ring out, apparently from two sources.
Her husband was killed instantly.
Scott was a millionaire who owned 250 acres of breathtakingly beautiful land that was adjacent to federal park lands. Attempts had been made by the feds to buy the property, but Scott was not interested in selling. Claims that there might be pot growing on the land, made by agents who did aerial surveillance, were used to get a search warrant.
An official inquiry suggested that agents had hoped this raid would lead to asset forfeiture of the property Scott would not sell. The coroners report listed the cause of death as a homicide. No marijuana was found. Scott did not even smoke it. In January, 2000, the Scott family won a $5 million wrongful death settlement from the government over the shooting.Thank you, very much ....I was looking for that.

Since you’re so into statistics, Mr. Mathematician, without having any, don’t miss the replied-to post. It has some interesting ones from Denver.

Other than the lead investigator, I fail to see where the other officers acted improperly - in this case.
Nuremberg? An apples and oranges comparison. Nuremberg was about heinous crimes against humanity.
Even civilians “follow orders” when it is the correct course of action. If the correct house information was available in the pre-raid muster, then yes, I would say that the whole team shared some responsibility. Otherwise if the Lead brought a bogus house number to the muster I don’t see it as proper for the team to (other than jokingly) question his investigation.

End the failed war on some drugs and these stupid raids stop.
To: imahawk
You would think after a three month investigation that the cops would get the right house. You'd think they'd actually find some drugs.
"Police arrested Efrain Pedruza, 31, and he was taken to the Gwinnett County Detention Center. Police said they found $24,000 in cash in the home."

My first reaction would have been to reach for my gun if someone busted into my home. Anybody here who wouldnt have? And then you'd be dead.
And your survivors wouldn't even receive an apology.
To: Bulldawg Fan
The next question is why with all this going on two doors down did not the real criminal get out the back door with his cash and hit the road? Worlds dumbest criminal?Maybe he's innocent? I mean, as hard as it is to imagine, maybe the cops made a mistake?

I actually got several. Never ceases to amaze me that people who post here are so pro government that nothing the police (which are nothing but the enforcement arm of the government) do causes them to think that maybe things have gone too far.

What pissed them off with him was that he wanted to keep all the money for himself. If he had spread it around he wiuld never been busted. On January 21, 2008 obama will order holder to quash it.

If during one of the occasional, very occasional, time they get the wrong house it happened to be yours I think you would have a serious attitude change towards this issue.
If I aim my handgun at you WITHOUT due cause I go to jail but when someone who supposedly has had many hours of training makes the same occasional, very occasional mistake they are automatically forgiven. Not by me they wouldn’t be.
