He seemed very genuine and kind. These reports about him being “the shadow governor” are just laughable. He strikes me as laconic man who is light years away from being interested in political maneuvering. I’d bet anything that most of the emails that she copied him on were FYIs in regards to her schedule. But I do think the Monegan thing was dicey. The problem is that I totally sympathize with her about that guy. I think she ultimately fired him because of the poster. Do you know what mean? I think the poster of Wooten was the last straw, and she was, like, fire this jerk right now. I totally sympathize, but it opened the door for this crazy troopergate. I don’t think she did anything at all wrong, and if we lived in a sane world, she would never have been investigated. But every time an incompetent jerk gets fired, they file a lawsuit. That’s why it’s so difficult to clean up government. That’s why Sarah Palin is such a gem. She was never afraid to fire incompetent people. It’s so much easier to let these losers keep their jobs because they always make trouble when they leave, and it takes years to resolve all the bogus law suits.
Sara campained on being Open And Transparent. Made quite the big dealof it actually.
ANd the email of the Gov are a matter of public record - open for examination, under Law no less.
Where she screwed up was to mix personal and Govt email together in multiple accounts - a real no-no under SoA IT regulation, which she is bound to follow as an employee.
It would have been simple enough t have a private account that was web-accessable and have stayed within the Law and current regulations.
Now she playing the price.
AS far as hubby - if he is looking at State business (which he legally may - as may I as a interested resident) - then the records are subject to the same Law and rules.
I hope she gets this sorted out, I, for one, am getting tired of the steady drip, drip, drip.
