What did Obama know ... and when did he know it?

The corruption arrest of Gov. Rod Blagojevich is raising questions about what Sen. Barack Obama knew of the Illinois Democrat's alleged activities, including his apparent offer to appoint Obama's preferred candidate to serve in the U.S. Senate in return for "private sector" help from Obama.

"This is a burgeoning crisis for Obama that should shake his presidency to its core," said Tom Fitton, chief of the Judicial Watch organization today.

"The criminal complaint filed today indicates that Obama and his team knew about Blagojevich's efforts to sell Obama's Senate seat," he said.

"Did Obama report Blagojevich to investigators about any efforts to sell his Senate seat?" Fitton asked.

ABC's Jake Tapper also expressed concern over the same issue.

On his blog, he wrote that while appearances seem to indicate Obama "refused to go along with the 'pay to play'" Blagojevich plan, there were significant questions.

For example, he wondered "how Blagojevich knew that Mr. Obama was not willing to give him anything in exchange for the Senate seat – with whom was Blagojevich speaking? Did that person report the governor to the authorities?"

...”Rubbish”, I always liked that word. OK, the only folks that watch or believe the “mainstream media” are the apathetic, docile, bovine, masses. There are pllllllenty of sources to find and check the facts. Yea, the right has it's conspiracy theorists and I even put my tin hat on for some of them. But, conservatively speaking, there is that tendency for both the left and the right to be zealous and partisan...

Hell the stones in the street know that. But to say that the sides are anywhere near equal is ludicrous. The left wouldn’t know the truth if it slammed them in the face. They THEMSELVES are the truth as far as they are concerned. Oppose them and no evil is too great to be resorted to (as we are ALL about to find out in the next 18 months or so).

The left justifies this behavior with the mantra of "the end justifies the means". They will resort to evil to gain power of the rest of us.

Question: If a person repeatedly says they will kill the President, then by this attorney’s logic- do we have to wait until the President is dead or shot? If I conspire to commit a crime, and; I am stopped just before carrying out said crime, I doubt a judge or jury will let me walk.

"Funny, no press conferences from the fake office of president elect yesterday. Going to the mattresses I guess.

I agree, I think that is what is going on.

It’s a good question. Normally though, ‘white collar crime’ not being a violent crime, is investigated long enough to find all the players. You are right about the conspiracy part, as that is the charge on Blago. If Fitz had waited and allowed the money to be transfered, he would have been able to catch the players red handed and perhaps put a real dent in Chicago corruption.

Question: If Fitz is only after the people ‘conspiring’, why hasn’t he indicted the people that were ‘conspiring’ with Fitz? Other than his aide....no one else has been touched.

Any expression you failed to catch is your problem.
