Point taken. I still thank him for his service, but he just didn't fight well in the election, some say he didn't want to win while others say he wanted to campaign as "Mr. Nice Guy." I do say he wasn't the best we can put into play more like a "consensus candidate." Well, as the saying goes, "a camel is a horse designed by a consensus." I'd like to have seen Fred Thompson or perhaps Romney but we ended up with McCain and had no choice but to play that hand.
