I’ve heard that Gov. Palin pleaded with McCain not to support the bailout, but I haven’t seen anything in writing about that. She has far better political instincts than McCain has exhibited, so it wouldn’t surprise me. Sarah Palin is the real deal, and that is why the MSM, and the GOP “leadership” is out to get her.

McCain had nothing to lose by opposing the bail-out. He stopped his campaign to rush to DC to spend unprinted other -peoples-money. Old habits die hard.

McCain looked erratic and compulsive when he up and sputtered about how he was “suspending his campaign” to go back to Washington and fix the “problem”. Then “suspended” his campaign for all of what - 24 hours? Fits and starts and was left looking erratic and compulsive; then voting “yea” to something NO ONE agreed with. The while thing has made the whole bunch look like the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. Except for Obama, who actually went and broke up the whole shooting match at the White House, then voted and left unscathed, looking like the Ice Man, while McCain left looking like he had egg on his face. McCain could have won with Sarah if he hadn’t allowed the likes of “Katie” and “Charlie” to butcher and disrespectfully treat her to juvenile pop quizzes. Unlike Obama, who they asked things like “Comfy, Senator Obama?” Totally irresponsible.
