An Obama aide, speaking on the condition of anonymity, took back David Axelrod's remark last month that Barack Obama and Rod Blagojevich had spoken recently.
"What the president-elect said today is correct, David Axelrod misspoke," the aide said.
Obama said today the men had not spoken.
An open question: When they last spoke.

Let him tell his story to the grand jury. No doubt Fitz is waiting patiently.

Obviously with incriminating evidence, Axelrod was the fall guy. KING HUSSEIN COBRAMA has been exposed. COBRAMA throws Rezko under the bus, Rezko throws Blago under the bus, COBRAMA throws Axelrod under the bus, now Blago and Rezko to throw COBRAMA under the bus.
Whitewater with tapes and ready made convicted felons. Fitzgerald has more to go after and COBRAMA has 42 days to duck and dodge.

The withdrawal/misspoke/denial is about Obama talking to Blagdonovich, not about his talking with Axelrod. Last month Axelrod said that O and BlagO had recently spoken .. now they want to take that statement back.
This makes Watergate look like recess.
Obama works to distance himself from Blagojevich
The president-elect was blunt and brief in addressing the case on Tuesday: "I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so I was not aware of what was happening" concerning any possible dealing about Blagojevich's appointment of a successor.
woops! He said the governor OR his office. They forgot to misquote.
