I’m confused. Is Illinois a state in Mexico, too or is this the US state? The corruption seems to be about the same.

In the old untouchables the criminals were controlling the government, in this newer version the government are the criminals.

Yeah, funny the party of the Gov was not mentioned.
The messiah better watch his back too. They're all dirty in Chicago.

A cabinet post or ambassadorship for himself.
My thoughts exactly.

Uh oh- now who would have the power to give him THESE offices? My thoughts as well. Unless, he was gunning for someone influential to lobby for an ambassadorship for him. However, that seems unlikely, why take the risk and engage in pay-to-play for something that isn't a sure pay-off. If you're going to risk criminal activity at this level, it seems to me, it would be for something bordering upon a 'sure deal'.

Everything Obama does is about the money! It’s all about the dollars. The media has been pushing that in our faces for months. It’s all dollars Obama. Everything around Obama is up for sale, IMHO.

Im confused. Is Illinois a state in Mexico, too or is this the US state? The corruption seems to be about the same. It's one of those bannana republics. I think it's located next to Costa Rica.

Oh boy...this stuff is so serious and easy to “get” that there’s little or no chance his problems end on January 20th. Even if Obama firs Fitzgerald, I don’t see this indictment going away.

HA HA HA! Chicago Politics STATEWIDE, coming soon NATIONWIDE. This scum vermin will get his. I wonder if Jesse Jackson Jr. gets the Senate seat now?
To: iowamark
I ran a search across the entire article and guess what? The word democrat never popped up... not even once!

Hehehe! No, he is a Democrat even when he was a representative in Congress
To: iowamark
I don't think any of these things he's accused of are even against the law here in New Jersey. This is just how things are done.
Maybe there's some laws technically on the books about such activities, like those old "you can't horsewhip your neighbor's wife on rainy Tuesdays" kinda laws. Nothing that's actually enforced.

Here’s an interesting question: who gets to appoint Obama’s successor now? The Illinois Governor seems incapacitated at the moment.

Ah yes, our new President brings with him the fresh air of a state and political organization free of the stench of corruption. Be prepared to repeatedly hear how the last IL governor jailed for corruption was a Republican!

The question DOES arise though as to whether or not Obama’s Senate seat was paid for...
I find that NOT to be a surprising consideration, given the norm in Chicago politics. I am wishing for a THOROUGH investigation.
