Will the anti-Obama zealots give the birth allegations a rest?
Rocky Mountain News ^ | 12/9/08 | Editors

Posted on 12/09/2008 4:27:21 AM PST by pissant

By refusing on Monday to hear a lawsuit challenging whether Barack Obama is indeed eligible under the Constitution to become the 44th president, the U.S. Supreme Court should have put to rest the fanciful rumors about the president-elect.

Yet the justices' action will not end the fringe conspiracy-mongering. David Weigel reported in Slate that Obama's foes have mailed "information" packets to presidential electors in advance of their Dec. 15 vote; right-wing activist Bob Schultz, who has orchestrated the campaign, says electors who vote for Obama are committing "treason to the Constitution."

May we offer some advice? Get a life. It appears that the phenomenon known as Bush Derangement Syndrome - with unhinged left-wingers willing to believe any scurrilous rumor about the 43rd president - has a mirror image on the right.

Some claim that Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii, and his birth certificate was faked. Others concede he was born in Hawaii but say he gave up his U.S. citizenship at age 6 when his mother, who married a citizen of Indonesia, moved the family to that nation.

It's difficult to believe rational adults can take these allegations seriously (and they have in fact been debunked). Obama served eight years in the Illinois legislature and most of one term in the U.S. Senate. If he were not a citizen, don't you think at least one of his campaign opponents would have found the proof to make that charge stick?

Even if the facts were murky, however, what possible point is there to raising them at this time? Does anyone seriously believe a court is going to try to bar from office the candidate chosen as president by a clear majority of voters? What do these zealots want, civil disorder?

I too am willing to support the pursual of this up to the day that Hawaii unseals and releases all of Obama’s birth records.

The American people have the right to know what has happened, or is happening, even after January 20th.

This is as important to every future election as it is to the 2008 pleb.

The greater elite class -- that is all who view themselves as a cut above, even towering above -- the rest of us unwashed fringe cretins, and the dimwit sheeple public have closed ranks around Obama. While they control most of the public reporting of this story, their reach is weakening quickly.

It is unfortunate that in that class are many once friends of the Republic of the Free, who evidently, like the Tories and "leaning Royalists" of the Revolution, have decided to turn their backs, to raise their noses, to the rest of us Patriots -- for the sake of being with the elite. Obama is elite -- they must defend his franchise, his title, as they would their own entitled elite classification.

There are few to no other reasons that I have seen brought forward to explain the breakdown among our once-friends. Nothing else explains their snarky slandering of those who pursue truth and who trust to the words and intent of the Constitution and our national heritage.

Without a doubt, the vetting of a presidential candidate /> must be transparent and information must be readily available to the general public..this seems to be missing with mr OBUMA. I do not know if he meets the qualifications> for president with the current information available to the public. Nor does the PRESS..
something smells about the whole 2008 election process.
It is not surprising to me that so called “conservatives”
appearing on MSM have approved MacOBuma as legitimate.
The mafia style of politics continues..two parties my A$$

Sure - when we hear the truth and B. Hussein Obama quits trying to hide his past.

But speaking for myself as an American zealot and a US Constitution zealot I say that Mr Obama must prove as every other President of the United States has proved, that they are an eligible person to be President of the United States.

Sorry if being an American offends you but that is YOUR problem not mine....

I totally agree with this person's comments.

David Horowitz's argument is that 54 million Americans have spoken.

OK, David - I'm going to start a website where Americans can vote for or against the federal income tax.

Once I have over half the country on record as against it, we'll stop paying it.

According to a supporter of the Donofrio Case there are Obama voters who also want this resolved. Why Donofrio and Cort are labeled anti-Obama is beyond me. Both are trying to help the guy get honest.

“What do these zealots want, civil disorder”

So this reporter believes that we should allow mob rule vs the rule of law.

If the court refuses to hear these cases our country is finished.

And our fearless conservative talk show hosts get a big assist.

I recently stopped listening to Rush after 18 years, also Sean and Laura.

Just once, I would like to see an interviewer ask Obama directly where he was born. And then ask him why it is so important to him not to produce is actual BC. Why is this so difficult.

You said — “Just call me an Obamah Truther!”

I guess you’ve joined Berg, then, in that he’s also a “truther” in that he’s sued Bush for being complicit in the 9/11 attacks... LOL...

If I were you, I would choose another word to use... :-)

You said — “Many freepers have offered to pay the $12 processing fee for him. I even will pay to have the certified docs fed-exed to the press conference where he releases it to the public.”

Why would he accept such an offer, if it would disqualify him from office???

They sure like to keep calling the people of America names. Obama’s lies will affect everyone in America in the worst possible way.

You said — “Why don’t all the BC people put your energy into obtaining a copy of the BC? It can’t be that hard.”

Ummmm..., I think the reason why Hawaii came out with the announcement about Obama’s birth certificate was to let people know that they weren’t gonig to get it legally or illegally... They put it under “lock and key” making sure no one that was not authorized was going to get their hands on it.

So, how do you propose to get it???

No need to read any farther. This person obviously doesn't understand the Rule of Law.

Ah... If someone else didn't discover this flaw in Barrie's ointment - BEFORE it made him ineligible for the office he sought - then it shouldn't matter now. "debunked", by the way, is the liberal's way of saying "screw you". When we get to "disproven", let me know.

Even if the facts were murky, however, what possible point is there to raising them at this time? Does anyone seriously believe a court is going to try to bar from office the candidate chosen as president by a clear majority of voters? What do these zealots want, civil disorder?

Article II and the 20th amendment should, obviously, just vanish from the constitution, in these idiots' feeble minds. "The people have spoken!"

Sometimes - perhaps often - the roar of the people is just gas.

Fact is this is the first president who’s not proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he was born in the USA. Until it’s proven he will always be suspect. Let the investigation continue.

It just hit me that Obama may be using his BC issue to open the borders wide. If he does not have to provide documentation to serve in the highest elected office in the land, why should anyone crossing into our country be required to show the same. Who needs a passport, documented worker papers (or whatever they are called), etc. Talk about an immigration mess! He has opened a Pandora's box over this issue by not proving he was eligible. I see this fomenting real civil disorder too, by citizen and non-citizens. There will be no Hope in the bottom of that box.

You said — “The fact the media is so derisively covering this issue shows it has sprouted legs and feel the need to tamp it down. All must serve The One.”

Well, I’m fairly derisive about the whole thing, too. That’s because Bush and the Bush Administration wants to do nothing to defend the Constitution in this regard, McCain and his campaign wanted to do nothing to defend the Constitution with this issue, the Republican Party wants to do nothing to defend the Constitution with the birth certificate, even Palin wants to do nothing in regards to this issue, and *certainly* the Obama campaign wants to do nothing in regards to this — and — the *majority* of the voting electorate wants to do nothing with this.

So, I’m fairly derisive about this in that anyone thinks that anything is going to “get done”.... LOL...

We had our last free election in 2004. Unless the COLB issue is resolved I will not see another free election in my lifetime.
