Just what is a bar? public property?
Mylife,
Yeah. You are right about Dallas and that is why I have painstakingly made it clear in each of my posts that my focus is SOLELY on public places.
The attack on private property is a hallmark of liberals.
So it’s just as I thought. You’re not “sick” at all. You’re normal.
I’m a big Cowboy fan. I go to DFW every year. I know the places you are talking about. I love Texas!
Totally nekkid, fully stocked bar and you can smoke in there.
It’s like heaven on earth for 2 days/year....much better than the hell where jihadists go when they find out the 72 virgins all Roseanne Barr.
It’s a tough job being POTUS. Lots of pressure. He should be allowed some perks.
Well how come you can go to a public place with the flu?
Mylife,
Not according to me. I have always believed that restaurants are private establishments.
This is a sticky issue as Civil Rights are based on the concept of “public establishments” which actually dates back to medevial times in Europe where they truly were public rest places.
Lots of murky legal law there.
That proves he isn’t much!
Anyone that truly decides to quit can.
I smoked a pack or more a day for 60 years and the doctor told me to quit 8 months ago and I haven’t had a cigarette since and a 1/2 pack is still sitting alongside my computer.
Mylife,
You are not supposed to go out with the flu. They do enough PSAs about that and that is supposed to be common sense.
Just like smoking in a public park or library
Dr A would agree with you 100%. He says just quit if you want to stop.
Then of course theres the Netherlands, where, in a Restaurant, you must go outside to lite a cigarette, but you CAN LIGHT A JOINT Right at your table. This is the type of Liberal LUNACY that we’re talking about... and your noise is helping THEM.
My Building, My Restaurant, if my customers want to smoke ... it’s OUTSIDE... EFF THAT ... and OUTDOORS... you whine at me, you eat my fist.
PERIOD
The comparison was only to put a context on the fact that the taxes (if eliminated, like they SHOULD be) will not put a big hole in the budget.
Why can’t one smoke outside in a public park?
My doctor told me I had to reduce my drinkin by 20%
So I switched from 100 proof to 80 proof.
( rim shot, please)
Don’t take it personally. If you’re a dog who has been beaten and abused for your own good and some kind stranger raises his hand to give you a bone, you would bite his hand off first and ask questions later. That’s how smokers feel.
It’s no fun being a persecuted minority.
My employer has made it offense to smoke in your car in the parking lot. They reason that its private land. They can set the rules
All this to lower health care costs. If all the smokers stop smoking, guess who’s health care cost’s are going to go up due to the drop in tax revenue?
stylin will be here all week...
Don’t forget to tip your bartenders and waitresses. :-)
Tax alone on cigarettes of you smoke a pack a day is over 2.5K a year
