Why won't Obama release his birth certificate?
That is an answer. All I can tell you is what I think. is it the real reason? Maybe. And for the last time, I’m not an apologist. I simply think this story has no traction, and is just a conspiracy theory.
I don’t wish to provoke, but I have an honest question. Why, if you do not agree that Obama is illegitimate (politically, at least . . .) or if you do not believe that this case is going to bear fruit, does it automatically follow that you support Obama?
It seems pretty clear that people can have a difference of opinion on these matters but still agree on the big picture—that Obama is a nightmare scenario as president.

Seems to me, by not doing it, he’s managed to tie down that part of the right most likely to fight against him in ways that could be effective and discredit them in the eyes of Joe Sixpack, who will see them as the looney right.
Whether this was intended by his actions or just serendipity remains to be seen.
