Sorry, NoObama, my response wasn't to you. It was for all of those whiny cry babies that give up whenever there's a setback. BTW, Leo Donofrio is filing a supplemental brief to his case, and there are a LOT more cases coming down the pike ... this is FAR from over!

A few weeks back, when Leo was being lauded for the sacrifices he's made to get his SCOTUS case this far, he compared those of us in this fight to maintain our Constitution to a V-formation of Geese.

As we know, the same Goose is not at the front all of the time. The lead Goose brunts hardest flight, beaconed by the calls of those behind. When the lead Goose tires, it will fall back to take a rest. Instinctively, a different Goose will assume the position at the front of the V-formation. Geese can fly 70 percent farther by adopting the V-shape rather than flying in isolation.

That's "Teamwork."

It's also "Self Sacrifice."

For those of you who want to throw in the towel -- thank you for your help to get this far. Take a breather, collect your thoughts, search your soul, but don't fall out of formation. If you were at the front earlier this year, got frustrated and dropped out completely, we'd love for you to rejoin the formation.

I'm not giving up. I can't. I see the day-to-day watering down of our Constitution and I know if I ignore it, I'm an accomplice. I know we are approaching a tipping point from which there will be no return. I will keep fighting until there is no fight left in me. I will continue to assert my First Amendment rights for as long as I have them.

If there's a scintilla of citizenship and patriotism left in you, I hope you can join those of us who wish to maintain the Rule of Law. I hope you help defend our Constitution from those who wish to re-interpret the Framer's wisdom. Because right now ... there aren't a whole lot of people out there willing to stand up and *ACT* -- to ensure our nation doesn't squander what our Forefathers risked so much to pass on to us, our children, and our children's children.

And all things being equal -- I'd much rather be with a flock of Geese than a flock of Sheep.

BUMP to an excellent post, BP2. Just like our troops who fight to defend our nation and our Constitution in spite of those Americans who do not support their mission, we will continue to do our best to protect the Constitution even though there are some who don’t believe it is worth defending anymore.

It was just as I expected from SCOTUS because the justices don’t want to rock the boat but play it safe. It’s an explosive issue with far reaching implications, and the justices don’t want to tackle it, but as you say, can’t throw in the towel. Need to keep the issue alive and spread out.

Thanks for the ping and post, BP2.

Freepers, this was not unexpected. The SCOTUS knows that the Wrotnowski case argues the same points. They know the Keyes case has standing and is approaching. They know every day our soon-to-be president-elect disenfranchise more and more of the Obamabots with his actions. The love affair wanes. Time is on the SCOTUS Justices' side (up to the point of swearing in at the inauguration). They know it and can use it.

I know that each of us would have preferred a strong message be sent now, as that is what we believe the strength, courage, and conviction of the Framers would have *demanded*. I wanted that to happen now -- but that is *my* bias. The SCOTUS Justices have their own bias. The case was put before each of them. Now put yourself in their shoes. Without a Supreme Court Justice like John Jay present to light the fire in your belly, what would you do?

I'd table it. Without a word. Without a comment. I'd give the world nothing that might hint at a bias. Then I'd do the research. I'd read ... a lot. I'd have a few quiet conversations. And when the next case, that I know is coming, presents itself I won't be caught off guard. I will know the details. I will have a beautifully written statement prepared. I will be ready.

This is not the set-back the Obamabots would like us to believe it is. It is the SCOTUS doing what they do best -- not going off half-cocked -- knowing the answer even before the question is officially and fully raised. I believe this issue is worthy of going off half-cocked; I believe the Framers would agree with me. The SCOTUS does not. And, like a level-headed chess player, they will play the moves ahead.

Don't let up now, FRiends. This is not an "ignorable" issue and I believe whole-heartedly that the SCOTUS feels the same. Pandora's Box must not be opened. As BP2 indicated, Donofrio has slid back into the formation behind Wrotnowski. Keyes is ready in the wings behind him. Even if the answer given is not the one we want, this question must not be left unanswered.

Hopefully few Freepers will give up. i know i won't. Bottom line, this guy hides everything from his BC to who he went to college with to where he was born.,p>
That just won't cut it when you run for the highest office in the land. We need and demand transparency.
