The reality is, I'm a person who knew this story had no traction when I first heard it. I also know, even if he had released his birth certificate, it wouldn't change anything. People would keep clinging to this story regardless.

Many out there have no respect for or any idea the importance of that document.
To the other extreme, there would be calls to change the Constitution to allow him to stay in office.
