He expects us to rely on him!
Of course He does, and we are relying upon Him by properly utilizing the common sense and love of our fellow man He has bestowed upon us.
Not for one minute to I believe our Lord does not expect us to take care of ourselves and our families in the best manner we can.
Properly using the gifts He has given us is relying upon Him.
The Lord gave me a brain, two hands and the strength to work. He gave me the common sense to understand the fruits of His world and the ability to learn how to prepare those fruits for my consumption and the consumption of my family. I have known Christians who rely totally on the Lord rather than getting off their own lazy asses and taking responsibility for their plight.
