“”A lot of us believe in evolution, it doesnt negate belief in God. As C.S. Lewis said, Science teaches us how God created the world, the bible teaches us why.””
Wow, I LOVE that and hope I remember it for future conversations with friends. I also was raised that way (as a Presbyterian) that there was no conflict between science and religion.
>>As C.S. Lewis said, “Science teaches us how God created the world, the bible teaches us why.
Just goes to show C.S. Lewis was not infallible. :) There was a reason he was involved in that “Ghostly Guild”.
The Bible tells us how God created the world too. It’s in Genesis. Jesus corroborated it. Anyone who doubts Genesis doubts Jesus. Since Jesus was God if you doubt Genesis you doubt God too.
“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called.” 1 Timothy 6:20
God warned us about theories like evolution. “Science falsely so called.” Such is “vain babblings” of men who like to think they have scholarly minds, but who are really reacting to peer pressure of fallen, unsaved men in spiritual darkness.
Evolution IS intelligent design.
That is to say, parts of evolution theory. To some extent God created and within His creation He designed life in such a way that we would interpret His work as evolution.
The cult of evolution gets way too carried away and presents idiocy like we’re all just great apes.
Origins is where evo-cultists and godless liberal NEA types go completely off the rails.
