Im one of them there crazy bible literalists. If God said he created the whole thing in six days and propped his feet up on the seventh, who am I to argue. If the firsts verses of the Bible are incorrect, the whole bible is suspect. Believe the first verse or forget the rest and believe whatever fits your lifestyle.
Whatever floats your boat.

I also believe that the Bible is the literal truth, word for word. Some things were said in parables, but that isn’t a license for us to read whatever we want into it to fit modern secular humanism.

It's not incorrect. It's an allegory, very much like the parables that Jesus told.

Im one of them there crazy bible literalists. There's nothing about intelligent design in Genesis I. God does everything by fiat. The world functions at His command, not by His design.
