During the interview, Obama described the desk as being the spot where Lincoln signed the Gettysburg Address. While there is a copy of the address on display in that room, it actually was the Emancipation Proclamation freeing the slaves that Lincoln signed there.

No one "signs" a speech. This fits right in with his misquoting/confusing the two American comedy TV shows "Sanford and Son" and "The Jeffersons." If he can't get American history right, he could at least get American popular culture right.

Obama is either (a) stupid, or (b) a foreign plant unfamiliar with American history and culture.

This gaffe about the Gettysburg address is almost as bad as the Sanford/Jeffersons TV one.

He’s unfamiliar with the American way because he spent the 1st 10 years of his life in a foreign country. One’s childhood is when one learns the traditions of America by saying the Pledge in elementary school (you could do this when obama was a child) Christmas plays (this to you could do in the 1960’s) celebrating the 4th of July, the Christmas season, little league baseball and football, and watching all those American classic TV shows that were so great during that era. He did none of this and doesn’t understand nor care about American culture.
