I’m surprised DeKalb is a liberal nest and Fulton is relatively close. Usually there’s a linear relationship between Democrat voting and proximity to large urban areas. What is DeKalb county like, anyway, that places it so far to the left?

Same as the rest of America, it’s urban. Rats nest in urban settings. :-}
