The polls close in ten minutes. Hopefully Georgia has held the line today. Poll traffic was reported as steady here Northeast Atlanta today...
Peggy Noonan is writing her weekly column for the WS Journal. And if you can understand her gibberish, her point will be that Chambliss could have won by a much greater margin but for the fact that Governor Palin campaigning for him was a “drag” on the ticket.
Dekalb and Fulton and Cobb counties will be the ones to watch, if Martin canot run up a tab in those, its over.
34K to 14K
Based upon an examination of the votes cast by county in this election with the general election, I declare Chambliss elected. Now will he feel any obligation to vote like a conservative as a favor to the Governor of Alaska.
** Maybe he and Mel M. can start a thinktank together.”**
They can call it the “Did they vote yet Institute”
**But isn’t the ability to think a requirement for that???**
NO ... it’s not a requirement for CONGRESS why should it be for a Think tank??
COME ON, GEORGIA!!!!
Peggy Noonan needs a nice banging. I don’t think she has been screwed in a long time, she is SO jealous of Sarah because Sarah has a great life, great family, and an awesome job. She is also adored by millions meanwhile Peggy is only adored by herself
I hope Herman Cain does run again. He had my vote on his first try.
Yes it would have kept her out of the senate. Now the Dems are thinking about replacing her with him. Obama will really have his hands full then.
I’m in McDonough and turnout was much greater than expected all day.
Oh if only...
If Chambliss can win big tonight, it just shows that AA’s voted for Obama and didnt give a rat’s sh%t about anything else, not to mention he couldnt turn them out to vote for the white guy.
For those of you who are not from Georgia, this is why Saxby had a problem:
...McCain was able to pull off about 70% of the Georgia vote, and Saxby couldnt get 50%? Georgians want to vote Republican, but Saxby fails to give them a reason.
Saxby didnt care what (the people) had to say on immigration, he didnt care what they had to say about the Gang of 10 on the energy issue, and he didnt care what they had to say on the big bailout.
The worst part is that he refuses to back down and admit he voted wrong on the above 3 issues; instead he offers excuses trying to explain to us dumb voters why he was right and we are wrong.
I used to have a great deal of respect for Peggy Noonan, no longer.
She has turned into a bitter old hag......
**Now the Dems are thinking about replacing her with him.**
Dear GOD ... what did we do to deserve THAT??
Since I am a New York, sorry to say, which counties in Georgia should keep our eye on
3% of precincts reporting
Haha! Sometimes we need the bitter truths, huh? You may be right.

“Chambliss might not be perfect but if he wins tonight, even by one vote, it is a defeat for Obama and the left, and we can celebrate that.”
Agreed. Chambliss is far from perfect and I believe he got a jolt this election. I hope so anyway.
