In an exclusive interview to NDTV External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has not ruled out the option of military strikes against terror camps in Pakistan.
Mukherjee said that every country has the right to protect its territorial integrity and take appropriate action when necessary. He also said that it has become difficult to continue the peace process with Pakistan in this atmosphere.
NDTV: Are we thinking about the military option at all? External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee: As and when it takes place, people will come to know, it's not publicized.
NDTV: So, you are not ruling it out? External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee: I am not making any comment on the military option, what I am saying is that every sovereign country has the right to protect its territorial integrity and take appropriate action and when it feels necessary to take that appropriate action.

Couple dozen bunker bombs.

Bush Doctrine!
The problem is that there are no open field terrorist camps in Pakistan but more like terrorist hideouts and it require a lot of intelligence to find them and then hit them. Another solution is a total invasion of Pakistan which I doubt that India is going to do.
that sounds different than the article I read over at India Times . . .
This could be interesting...but try keeping the raids a secret.
The Pakkies will not be pleased.
If the UN had any testicles it would make that one of its primary objectives, to rid the world of these terror infestations without delay or regret.
Face it, when you have a village in the middle of nowhere that shows no signs of self-sufficiency whatsoever, is inhabited by most young, healthy males and you see signs of military style training going on there's only one logical conclusion.
I know the reason countries like Pakistan are reluctant to make move against these camps is because they fear retribution. They fear the rebels will turn on them if they don't turn a blind-eye to what's going on. The way around this is for countries like the US and England and Australia to do it for them. Then the host countries can bitch and moan all they want about their sovereignty, etc., but the camps and the evil they seed will be a thing of the past.
There are probably at least 200 of these camps scattered all around the globe. Until the enemy loses it's ability to train unmolested nothing is going to change. Period.
It's like treating an illness, the closer you are to treating the root cause of the problem the easier it's going to be to rid yourself of the disease.
Every madrassa in Pak would be a tall order.

Ajmal Amir Kasab, the only suspected terrorist caught by the police, told interrogators that 24 people were trained in Pakistan over the course of a year, 10 of whom were picked for the Mumbai operation, the Times of India reported today, citing unidentified people.
Kasab said the terrorists were trained by a former soldier in seven phases, including the use of weapons and ammunition and such physical activity as diving, running and swimming, the newspaper reported, citing the unidentified people.
A voice of reason. Thanks.
If it’s an option, that means they know where these camps are. Man up and take them out!
I’ve been reading ‘no military action’ would be taken.
But, India asked Pak to hand over 20 wanted terrorists:

Another interesting story: Mubai police had only 577 guns and hadn’t fired in 10 years:

Should we strike militants and drug cartels in Mexico.
Yeah, but lets have a press conference telling them we are not going to rule out bombing them. Maybe we should do a flyover with pamphlets to be sure their women and children aren’t in the area. What a load of (you know what) ... bomb ‘em or keep your mouth shut. What a difference between posturing and targeting.
