Unidentified chemical found in Salt River
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is trying to identify what chemical is getting into the south fork of the Salt River in Audrain County. Department of Natural Resources spokesman Larry Archer says he believes the green water is a result of chemicals released from industry in the area combining with chemicals from a water treatment plant.
"Coming out of the plant it's been described by our folks at the scene as almost an anti-freeze green if you're familiar with automobile anti-freeze, that's a pretty bright green, so it's very noticeable coming out of the plant."
Drill tests Poison Center's response to chemical release
What would you do if you were at a public event and a chemical agent was released into the crowd? Call the police? An ambulance? How about Poison Control?
Thanks MamaD, I’m a bit better. That was quite an ordeal for a vaccine that supposedly only has a 1% bad reaction. I’ve heard from several people who had the same or worse symptoms or who knew of people who were physically ill from this.
Thanks for the pings, I’m off to bed even though it’s early, I had to work today and I’m pooped.
