So the building that is now a hospital wasn’t built until after Senator McCain’s birth. So what? Sailors and Marines don’t require buildings for medical services.
I was responding to a statement that McCain would be a natural born citizen because he was born in a Navy Hospital on a U.S. military base. Such did not exist at the time.
He was born in a public hospital, in the city of Colon, Republic of Panama. Thus, he is not a “natural born citizen” of the U.S. Since both his parents were U.S. citizens, he is considered a “citizen by statute”.
