Obama Should End The Birth Certificate Controversy |
By The Rev. Michael Bresciani, For The Bulletin |
The question of whether Barack Obama was actually born in Kenya thus disqualifying him to run as a presidential candidate will not go away. It is like the little mushrooms that appear every morning under the tree, they keep coming back. What should the president-elect do?
It is not fair to label those who want answers as racists, disillusioned right-wingers, conspiracy nuts or any other convenient appellation thereby asking them to simply shut up. Lawsuits filed to require that an official vault document be produced have come from African-Americans, democrats and a host of constitutionally concerned citizens.
In fact one You Tube offering about the matter garnered 750,000 views alone and the total viewing of videos and articles on the subject is somewhere near 3 million to date.
The problems with the birth certificate offered on the extreme left Web site the Daily Kos and a few other Internet sites are too many to ignore. The short list is first that the document is not signed. Secondly, it has no seal. Third, is that the security border doesn't match similar documents from the same time period. Other objections are that the race of Mr. Obama's father is listed as African. In the early '60s the State of Hawaii listed African- Americans as Negroes.
What is missing from the document is the doctor's signature and physical characteristics at birth that every original birth certificate reveals.
Some interested party's have submitted the internet document to the scrutiny of Adobe and graphic experts who all agree the document is highly questionable or a complete fraud. Is it? Who knows at this point? What is far more intriguing is the resistance being thrown at uncovering the true vault document. This is what is spawning suspicion and doubt.
Attorney Philip Berg has filed a writ of certiorari that should force the president-elect, the DNC and co-defendants to produce the document in accordance with law. Ambassador Alan Keyes has pending suits and a total of 17 others are submitting their quests to various levels of state courts.
Here are the important reasons President-elect Obama should cooperate and put the whole matter to bed as quickly as possible.
Because he can. With a simple request to the Hawaii Bureau of Vital Statistics he can quash all doubt and get on with his administration.
He will remove the suspicions of millions of Americans, republicans, democrats and independents alike. If ignored it could cause a constitutional crises unlike anything ever seen in this country. It would make questions of chads and incomplete voting cards look like a kindergarten problem by contrast.
It will indicate that Mr. Obama means business when he takes the oath of office and declares that he will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. It will give confidence to many of his opponents who may not agree with all his policies, but want to know that he is a completely honest man with the country's best interest in mind.
It would put to rest the assertion that he is an elitist. All Americans must submit proper documentation of birth to get Social Security cards, driver's license, security clearance and passports. He should be willing to carry out the first and the least of all his campaign promises contained in the slogan "Yes, we can." In America we can and according to law "we must."
We will all sleep better at night! It is a surprisingly simple matter to make it all go away but it is presently entrenched in court battles and suspicion. In a full page ad in the Washington Times Nov. 17, 2008 three questions are asked. Was Barack Obama born in Kenya? Is he really a citizen of Indonesia? Does the Constitution still matter?
Good questions, we're listening.

An expert claims the posted certificate is a fake. Watch the video and decide for yourself. http://bloggingredneck.blogspot.com/2008/11/expert-proclaims-obamas-posted.html

So instead of correcting this “mistake” you suggest that we compound it to the point of infinity? Just because 67 million ignoramuses voted for this fraud doesn’t make it right, furthermore, it is the electors that will elect him, not 67 million ignoramuses, and they must uphold the constitution. Lastly, the state of Hawaii could claim whatever the Hell they want, I am not going to believe Obama is qualified to be president until he shows the public his long form. NOTHING ELSE WILL SUFFICE PERIOD END OF STORY.

In other words, he has the Governor of the State of Hawaii having claimed all is right and proper. Thats that
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Well,...That is **not** that!
If Obama had been born in Hawaii, the governor would have plainly stated, “ Obama was born in Hawaii.” She did NOT say that!
It was merely stated that they were in possession of a document. They did not specify if this was a document registering a foreign birth or a certificate registering a birth that had occurred in Hawaii. BIG Constitutional DIFFERENCE between these two types of documents!

“We can’t be that gawd damned stupid as to believe there is a chance in hell that the majority of the country would ever allow Obama to be removed from office regardless of his actual place of birth...”
I don’t think there is anything to this BC hubbub.
However, if someone could show me (and others) that Mr. Obama is indeed (without any doubt) not constitutionally qualified to be president....I don’t care if I’m in the minority...he would not be allowed to be POTUS even if it means civil war. I’m sworn to uphold the constitution...not necessarily the will of the majority when they are in opposition to the constitution.

How did he get a passport? Does he even have an American passport. He traveled in his 20s on an Indonesian passport.
But until it was mentioned his this article, what about his Social security card. Surely he has one of those, but how did he get it?

No, when they gave repeated “get-out-of-jail” passes to their hero, “Bill”, the masses of “the American people” are prepared to dance many cartwells for the even more popular Oprah’s Choice. Heck, 72 percent “believe” he can “fix” the economy.

...since the court has decided that Mr. Berg et. al. do not have standing, and the court has stated that it doesnt feel the challenge is really necessary, because it would cause a great deal of pain and suffering to all those who have voted, it looks as if nothing will be done. There is a case with the supreme court right now, and Zero has until Dec. 1 to respond, and Dec. 5th all 9 justices will conference on it. Another case was filed with the SC last week. Apparently Justice Thomas felt there was something here to at least look at. We'll see.

It’s not just “Democrats”; some 20 percent of “registered” “Republicans” fell for Oprah’s Choice too.

Alas, our laws no longer derived from the Constitution Day. Constitution Day is no longer observed. Most Americans haven’ a rat’s behind as to when Constitution Day actually is.

Perhaps he has to hold firm on this or there will be continuing demands for him to release all the other things he is hiding.
..........
If they open up his hawaiian birth certificate records, the chances are good they’ll be forced to open up his columbia u & harvard records. This was during the period when he went to Pakistan. if the posters are correct, that you could not get into Pakistan during that period on an american passport—then likely the columbia u & harvard records will show that he was an indonesian muslim—with an indonesian passport—which would explain why he got some early endorsements from that saudi muslim to go to harvard.
This would also help explain why he is willing to spend 800,000 to stonewall releasing a $10 birth certificate.

To repeat your key point:
A birth certificate is an official record which MUST be produced in applying for licenses and other official documents. Most especially a Top Secret Security Clearance
And verified!!!! And verified!!!! And verified!!!!
Have been there and done that.
To: jamese777
Besides, the state of Hawaii says his Certificate of Live Birth is on file. They only said they hold his birth cert., they did not say what that BC says or where he was born. The laws in Hawaii at the time was that a child could be born anywhere in the world but the parents could still register their childs birth in Hawaii. They did not say they have the long form BC either.

The time to challenge Obamas eligibility was at the qualifying for 50 states ballots plus the District of Columbia.
I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that at that time no one, and I mean no one had 'standing' to challenge it. The word was that you couldn't challenge it until after the election. (And, naturally, then it's too late.)
