Hi neighbor--wondered when I saw your reference to JoCo if you meant the county where GP is. So sad that they're taking the dam out, especially for those (like you?) who live on the "lake portion" of the Rogue. Am sure all those who are so gung-ho about removing the dam are going to be the first ones to cry when our tourist industry gets hit hard--especially in RR!

Just like the ones who whined the most about the libraries closing due to the loss of O&C funds seem to be the ones who were so passionate about defending the spotted owl against the logging industry

Guess over-weening devotion to a cause can lead, at best, to unintended and often disastrous consequences, and at worst, to paving the kind of "road to hell" that we are seeing so covered with blood in Bombay.

In either case--may God have mercy!

Hey, neighbor!

I hate those damned environmentalists...there’s no proof the dam stopped salmon, in fact there were several record runs while the dam was still up!

The only reason they caved is because of the lawsuits...

I don’t live on the lake portion of the Rogue, but I’m almost close enough to see their rapids. I do see the salmon running, and the eagles, egrets, cranes and otters, it truly is a beautiful river.

Yes, may God have mercy on us all.

See ya’,

Ed

I have noticed many of the local officials behave in a terroristic manner. (JoCo was a known haven for the KKK).
