Ha! I found it. Actually it does not say the Panama Canal, but the Panama route.
Television reports quoted officials of the Defence Ministry to state that the ship was intercepted and searched as per the international maritime laws. The papers were found in order and the ship was allowed to proceed on the Panama route.
