yes . . the expected the direction. Problem is if we continue down this path with the Indians looking like they are going to make a concerted push to officialy pin this on Pakistan . . . and with Pakistan currently in the fragmented state it is in . . . let’s just say, as bad as things are now, this will look like a Sunday picnic if this devolves into direct conflict bwtn India and Pakistan

Yes. And that’s when one would have wished that the US would have a tested and experienced president. But, alas - the electorate decided it was time for “hope and change”. Change there may be, but probably not what they hoped for.

If things develop fast enough maybe there will still be time for Bush/Cheney to act.

Well it does look like it was inspired by Pakistani Islamists, yes?

I agree that it could rapidly devolve into another nuclear standoff like they had right after 9/11.

I’m sure that’s at least one goal of the terrorists.
