Monday, November 24 An open letter to Sarah Palin: Dear Governor For the first time in eight years I feel a mixture of joy and anger in my heart.
Ms. Palin, I was angered by your inciting of violence at your rallies. It was appalling to hear cries of "traitor", "kill him", "terrorist" and the angry shouting of one man looking at the camera as he went into one of your rallies "Kill another baby, you bastard". And yet you said nothing to quell outcries. John McCain said he was 'proud' of the people who attended your rallies. This is the same John McCain I once respected and might have considered voting for in 2000.
And so, after eight years of an Administration that I have never been proud of, I feel joy and still can't believe that we have finally done the right thing and elected a person, whom, I feel, is highly intelligent and will pick responsible persons for his Cabinet and Administration. He will not be perfect no president ever is, but I have faith in his ability and sense of what the country needs now and has needed for the last eight years.
As for Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, you can shake hands with them they do the same things on their radio shows as you did in your rallies.
Limbaugh spews hatred and vitriole almost every time he speaks. He lumps all Liberals together. We are just as different from one another as are the Conservatives. He won't bother me anymore, although I understand he is already at it again, criticizing President-Elect Obama. I feel that those who listen to him and agree with him probably never watch television shows in which there are opposing views offered. I think the format all of us should watch is a panel of Liberals and Conservatives discussing the issues and giving individual points of view. There are news shows on television that offer this format.
Governor Palin, I hope that you will become educated in government, geography and national policies before you consider running for office again. You could do so much good with your ability to speak directly to people, or you could become a conservative talk-show host, spreading hatred and intolerance to those who want to believe everything they hear without investigating the truth. I hope you will change your message to one of bringing people together, which is what Barack Obama did for our country.
There was concern that people who said they would vote for Obama would actually vote for McCain, thus mislead the polls. In reality, it appears that many who said they would vote for McCain voted for Obama. It was time to end the division of races and vote for one who wants the United States to once again be respected around the world.
What are these media types so pissed about? The election’s over and their man Obama won? I don’t see the point of all the whining.
These people are DELUSIONAL.
Get ready for the Cultural Revolution. Here come the Red Brigades.
Stopped right here.
If he personally heard a death threat, he should report it to the Secret Service. NONE of the agents working there or those who did any investigation ever heard it or found any evidence that it had been said. But keep repeating the Big Lie. Goebbels and Stalin would be proud of you.
Connie, you ignorant slut.
The writer is from Massachusetts.
Enough said.
This reads like a letter to the editor. The tone and style are naive and unpolished. I’m sure journalistic standards these days aren’t what they should be, but even so.
God - Country - Guns !
Liberals also agree on three things:
Hating God - Hating County - Hating Guns
Aparently this Dumb A$$ does not read much. the Secret Service was THERE. They heard nothing like Kill him. Lies all lies
OK, this was a school paper handed in by a 15-year old, right?
Connie is just angered they weren’t yelling “Kill Bush”....
Because you still have not accepted the exceptional One into your heart and mind as the Obamessiah. You still are not saved.
Drink the kool aid. Drink.
The term is marginalization. That is what the libs are all about.
I know we were all equally appalled to hear the reports of forceable child and animal sodomy at Democrat rallies.
It doesn't bother these people to know that it never happened. Imagining that it happened helps them to feel brave, it lends a bit of drama to their lives.
Limbaugh spews hatred and vitriole almost every time he speaks
Actually, he never does that. But again, if having a bogeyman to hate lends that little extra spark to your life, who's to deny you that?
bringing people together, which is what Barack Obama did for our country.
Evidenced by the love the writer feels for Republicans...
it appears that many who said they would vote for McCain voted for Obama.
Could be. Touch-screen computer voting is a magical thing.
This is one of the biggest load of sh** I have read in a long time. Typically, the writer accuses Conservatives of believing everything they hear without doing their own research (not true at all) but then goes on to spout rumors about people shouting things at rallies. Odumbo was the prophet of divisiveness with his I don’t look like others on the bills statement (and other statements). It will be interesting and painful to watch any dissent thrown at Odumbo labeled as divisive in the years ahead.
Yo, Yannone:
Your candidate Obama represents an ideology that has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of millions across the globe.
Keep that fear simmering. Conservatism is not even close to being dead and will re-emerge with a vengeance, likely with Governor Sarah Palin in a leading role.
You are right about one thing. You have very good reason to be afraid.
