I doubt that Brit wanted to host FNS. He was already managing the news division and doing Special Report every day. There’s additional prep time in hosting a Sunday show. When fox dismissed Tony Snow, Brit was already in his 60’s and probably did not want to start working seven days a week.

I used to love Brit and Special Report. It was my 6:00 p.m. hour of TV a day. Then I caught this and knew my doubts about the post debate analysis, keeping of Bill Kristol, etc. was not my imagination.

I still wish Brit Hume a peaceful and happy retirement.
