Last Thursday the Los Angeles Times had an editorial decrying 8's passage....and here, verbatim, is the gist of the large-print lead in to it:

...."but the legal system is designed to guard against the tyranny of the majority."

So now, the majority has to be reigned in by a handful of judges? I wrote a Letter to the Editor incredulously blasting them on this, and have had the confirming call that it will be published in Monday's paper.
