Thanks for the hard work you guys (and gals)!!!
(when is that MrsWaspman gonna get a freeper name so I can ping her to stuff? heh heh...)
The way the new law reads, with special recognition for “communities of interest” and other criteria taking precedent over geographic characteristics, you can bet the left will work to liberalize every district around. Last I checked there are no “communities of interest” that fall under a conservative umbrella. That’s my prediction anyway... we’ll know for sure in a couple years.
Now, that's funny!
Listening to Charlie Brown’s ads, he was to the right of Reagan. I was going to move to district 4 just so I could vote for him.
Even though the nationwide election went badly for Republicans, I feel we held our own here in CA.
We got prop 8, the redistricting proposition and Tom McClintock. Not too bad for a leftist liberal state.

Well the Dems control the state legislature.....
yeah til arnold got in a stupid people ran for the celebrity.
How many more districts is California getting? I am sure you will have 57 or 58 the next census at least. I think quite a few shifting of populations between states will be noticeable this next census. The North East will lose districts, but the South will gain those because of Northern State exedus. That of course is good and bad news as we saw with Virginia and North Carolina.
Duh!—I just remembered. The recent redistricting initiative doesn’t even deal with Congressional seats—only state offices.
They’ll be drawn for the new census, but by the legislature and according to the same law as before.
Thanks for the hard work and your considerable time.
A few, dedicated, principled conservatives can make a difference.
Actually, the Census estimates that California will lose a seat after the 2010 census.
Congratulations. McClintock was down by 6-8% according to polls released one week prior to the election.
LOL, yeah, "anywhere" in Kalifornia!
Those were Rat polls. McClintock was a head by 9-10% according to internal tracking. I am convinced something funny went on in the bad counties.
Lungren’s challenge of Boehner failed.
“We got prop 8, the redistricting proposition and Tom McClintock. Not too bad for a leftist liberal state.”
The three things that keep putting a smile on my face!
That and the Dec. 5th Supreme Court meeting that just got scheduled. . .
Late-counting caused McClintock’s margin to balloon to close to 51-49. Looks big enough to stand up to any shenanigans.
He’s the Californian who should have challenged Boehner. As a freshman he’d have the perfect alibi for all the crap that happened “I wasn’t there”.
