“Tie a string tightly around a can (so it resembles a long handle. or pop a hole in either side of the can and tie the string through the holes) and lower the can down into the well. That’ll bring up enough water to drink.
Make sure you use enough string. Some wells are deep.”

The problem with some well casings will be that the can won’t have room to tip over and gather water...it’ll just float on the top. Of course one could poke a hole in the bottom of the can...heh heh

I tell ya, if I lived in a city, or town for that matter, I’d make sure I keep a stash of bottled water for that “just in case a catastrophic U.S. quake” were to hit our area.

Put a stone in the bottom. (Opps. I forgot that part. Duh!)
