I love “Total Recall”. It is the only movie in which I could stand to watch Sharon Stone.
He didn’t “save” Mars. He just activated a machine to give Mars back it’s atmosphere. This broke the back of a cartel who owned the means to keep the colonists alive.
There was no ecological crisis to do so.
