Mitt Romney Takes on Detroit
By Garance Franke-Ruta
The race for 2012 is already on in the Republican Party, and today failed 2008 contender Mitt Romney appeared to take a stand sure to complicate any future presidential bid. In an op-ed bluntly titled, "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt," the former Massachusetts governor argued against the automobile salaries and pension systems that have for decades helped define the good life in industrial Michigan, where Romney won the GOP primary this winter and where his father was once governor.

Unfortunately, I know many people who turned against McCain because they saw that Palin was not qualified and was picked as a gimmick. Spending all that money on her clothes, they knew she wasn’t qualified, they knew they were marketing her in a manipulative way. They knew she didn’t have the qualifications. I had to talk people into voting for McCain by informing them how bad Obama was. Palin didn’t help McCain at all. He would have gotten the base anyways. McCain needed to convert people, he didn’t need to sing to the choir, and he didn’t need a cheerleader who didn’t understand what she was talking about either.
it seem Dio heresay and roomers are your specialties...
There is a reason Adams and the rest of the Founders advised against giving the vote to women and those under 21, not to mention non freeholders.
Buy gold and guns, hell is coming.
Well, not politically correct, but very true.
Sorry, but we are well past the time when we can tolerate anymore of this garbage on our side. And anyone who takes the shot this poster took at Sarah Palin, who by any measure, objective or subjective, saved McCain from an even more embarrassing defeat, is a troll. And I’ll call her out every chance I get.
Careful, Granny. Speaking kindly of Gov. Palin is sacrilege to Slick Willard. She must be destroyed. His hairness hath spoken.

Is that you pea brain...
If this was KOS or the DU you would have set a record for brevity while still being a hero.
Perhaps if you would hang out with more conservatives you would be less inclined to buy the DNC party line...
Unfortunately, I know many people who turned against McCain because they saw that Palin was not qualified and was picked as a gimmick.

Please do your homework you are incorrect in your feelings about Palin.

Spending all that money on her clothes, they knew she wasnt qualified, they knew they were marketing her in a manipulative way.

She never did spend that money it came from the GOP and she never wore the stuff.
also if you were to watch the FoxNews report you would have known this and she has a very modest attire from a second hand shop for her cloths and shoes.
//
They knew she didnt have the qualifications. I had to talk people into voting for McCain by informing them how bad Obama was. Palin didnt help McCain at all.

It is sad but you really are off base here and it is unbecomming of you to harbor this misguided roomers.

He would have gotten the base anyways. McCain needed to convert people, he didnt need to sing to the choir, and he didnt need a cheerleader who didnt understand what she was talking about either.

Sorry but McCain was handed many opportunities to win this and he refused so he was either too stupid or game playing us to use them.
Ah, there’s the granny we all love. But you shouldn’t get on the subject of peas, since you’ve been short of a whole patch since Warren Harding. :-)
Stupidity is only the beginning. They are all mainly copy and paste spam that have been posted a gazillion times. Any relation to the thread is purely accidental. It is like conducting correspondence with your SPAM folder.
This blatant troll-like anti-Romney spammers are tolerated here because the site admin is anti-Romney as well, so they think that this garbage is just the sort of quality postings that make FR an indispensable conservative resource. Postings directed against FR favored candidates during the primaries were deleted, and many posters banned. The anti-Romney spammers are coddled and nurtured by FR with complaisant solicitude.
The Slick Willardbot trash should’ve been cleared out first before they had a chance to spark endless flamewars, slime FReepers in good standing with their slanderous filth, and endlessly repeat debunked talking points thousands of times, wasting obscene amounts of JimRob’s bandwith. Never have I seen such a level of tolerance for disruptive DU trolls and paid agents and spammers.
Apparently you didn't see the reports of millions of GOP voters staying home because of McCain...
Incredible.
BTW, Plutarch, if you have a problem with the way things are run around here, why don’t you do your “J’accuse !” schtick against our hosts. I’m sure they’d be more than happy to make some kindly suggestions towards you regarding your conspiracy theories.
I was just reading up on Romney’s actual record being Governor in the very liberal Massachusetts and he was a good governor and had many successes. It is very difficult and complicated. He had a very tough job facing a very liberal legislature and he still managed to have success. Contrast that to California, where we have a similar situation, Governor Arnold is doing a terrible job. But one thing it proves, is that it is very difficult to do a job when one is dealing with liberals. The fact that Romney had success putting forth a conservative agenda, doing tort reform and balancing the budget, shows the leadership skills that he has. Anyone can be successful in an oil rich state like Alaska. Palin’s success proves absolutely nothing. She didn’t face anything like Romney. It’s like comparing something that someone did in Pre-school to someone being a rocket scientist. There is no comparison. Palin doesn’t even has a real journalism degree. Can’t people tell the way she talks, she can’t. That should explain everything right there. The lady is a fraud.
If Palin was that great, they would have voted despite McCain. I didn’t like either McCain and Palin even less, but I did my duty and voted, I knew I couldn’t let Obama be elected without me at least trying to do my part to stop it. But believe me, it was tough, it was awful to be voting for a ticket that I didn’t respect at all. What an awful position to be in, it was terrible. But at least I did my duty. Not everyone who felt as strongly as I did, could have voted the way I did. I understand why they stayed home. They weren’t Palin fans, don’t kid yourself, if they were, they would have voted.
More liberal spam and anti-Palin hate. Don’t you ever give it a rest ?
That’s pretty dirty to be reporting people. Really, that’s not right. How do you feel? Not good I hope. Some thing’s not healthy with all this Palin worshipping going on. I’ll tell you one thing though, I am afraid what is going on, most of the men have a crush on her. And as far as the women go, they are afraid of being accused of being jealous. How sad. I hate to see conservatives get manipulated. We are dealing with the most treacherous people in the world, the Democrats, but must we be manipulated by some who are supposed to be on our side? I’m sorry, Palin was not and never will be qualified to be President, and you know it, you just have a crush on her. That’s fine, but must you insist that we elect her President? Please, think about it.
Liberal spamming isn’t tolerated on FR. Go read the rules.
