Muslims are paranoid about touching the bottom of shoes. Remember the mobs hitting Saddam’s statue with their shoes? Ultimate insult. So, was Obama the muslim doing this so his muslim friends could see he’s insulting McCain?
Not only touching, but having the bottom of the shoe facing a person while legs are crossed is considered insulting - in many cultures in which he is very familiar with and has traveled to. It’s just interesting that he will pronounce Pakistan like Pahkeestan to sound so wordly, but his etiquette shows he doesn’t know much.
