Gingrich says Palin will not be the future GOP leader By Alexander Bolton Posted: 11/16/08 01:05 PM [ET]

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) is batting down the hype that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin heads into 2012 as the frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination.

Palin energized the Republican base after GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) tapped her as his running mate and she has tried to preserve her high public profile since Election Day.

But Gingrich, an architect of the Republican revolution of 1994, took Palin down a notch, asserting that she would not become the party’s leader, as some have predicted.

“I think that she is going to be a significant player,” said Gingrich during an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation”. “But she’s going to be one of 20 or 30 significant players. She’s not going to be the de facto leader.”

Since the defeat of the GOP ticket, Palin has pursued an aggressive media strategy, scheduling a full slate of interviews to keep her face on television.

So many react to the headline...so few read the article.

Not to mention the ones that wish to use the constitution as toilet paper, while claiming their right to speech is greater than anyone else.

I wasn’t referring to Sarah.

Let me rephrase, adding a key hint.

How ‘bout a really smart, super wealthy, good looking, cultist?

A few comment on commenters but not on the article.

I trust Palin. I don’t trust any of those other GOP snakes or any RINOs.

So do I. And because we trust her all of these has-beens are going to have a rude awakening when they come to realize this.

Did anyone stand against the bailout besides the guy I voted for in 04?

Gov Mark Sanford was out in front against the bailout.

baggage ? What baggage. Sarah is probably the cleanest most ethical candidate in the history of US Presidential politics. They tried and tried to dig up dirt on her. All they could find is that she killed some wildlife. People are watching. Any attempt to derail Sarah from within the Republican party will be met with an absolute decleration of war. If you take away the traditional right and the South Park Republicans. SARAHS core BASE. You are left with RINOs and a bunch of old farts on golf carts.

Yes, she seems honest. Yes, she seems ethical. Yes, she seems like a very good person. She also seems like an outstanding governor.

So if you want to support Sarah Palin... go for it!

That's the beauty of our country...right?

I, however, will not. Which is my right too...wouldn't you agree?
