Disgraced love gov Eliot Spitzer has shamefacedly admitted the "mistakes" he made with a hooker are barring him from assisting the incoming Obama administration in turning around the economy.

"Mistakes I made in my private life now prevent me from participating in these issues as I have in the past," he wrote in an editorial slated to run in tommarow's Washington Post.

Now that the Marxists hold power in all 3 branches, Spitzer needs to rehabilitate himself and get back in the game. I suspect he's tired of golf, driving around in his 400 hp Porsche, and discreetly pursuing, ahem, other recreation. He's tired of the “if looks could kill” glares at the silent dinner table from his scorned wife and kids. Time to get over the mid-life crisis, get back in the game, and destroy the lives of some evil capitalists.

A settled pattern of illegal, destructive behavior extending over many years...this is much more than "mistakes". Spitzer is incapable of acknowledging the depth of his culpability, and is therefore undeserving of forgiveness by the public at large.

Oh, and another thing...

Last week Spitzer escaped criminal charges for his activities, and immediately we start hearing from him. In a few days, he'll be telling friends and then reporters that, well, since he wasn't charged with breaking any laws, he really deserves to be forgiven and to return to political activity. For the public good, of course.

I can smell the stench of Spitzer's shamelessness from way over here...
