To: I_like_good_things_too

Depends on the professor. Good professors, even when they are hardcore lefties, may not agree with your pov but will give you a good grade if you can support your arguments.

Well, I was cautious in that the teachers I did this with were both semi-reasonable, plus had multiple choice tests as a basis for their grading. I perform very well on those tests and was the top student in their classes. It was a while ago, so it was easier than it is in the current college environment. But smart conservatives still need to challenge the left— they won't convince the leftist professors (I didn't), but they'll have an impact on the students that are stuck in the class. I had a definite impact, many students told me so, and I'm not a particularly skilled debater— I simply offered an alternate though— something most had never heard.
