Actually, what Obama has presented is a "Certification of Live Birth," NOT a "Certificate of Live Birth."

In Hawaii, a "Certification of Live Birth," can be used to register a foreign born person. This is what is REALLY at the heart of the matter. A "Certificate" would have things like the attending doctor, hospital, etc. The "fact" that Obama was born at "Kapi'olani Medical Center" is PURELY anecdotal.

Also, aside from the constitutionally-important "Natural Born Citizen" issue, there's another reason people are wanting to see the copy of the "Certificate of Live Birth" ...

Obviously, "Barry Soetoro" was not on the ballot.

The lengths Obama has gone not to show the birth certificate and his successfulness up until now to keep it under wraps is equivalent to holding the country hostage and saying bend the rules for me or a civil war will break out.

You are correct in the fine details. I was just trying to point out to the original poster that he really has not provided anything that a court or the Federal Government would accept as proof.
