I thought it goes to the House and Senate at this point, with the House choosing the Pres and the Senate the VP. In which case, we could have a Biden or Hillary Presidency and a Palin or Biden Vice Presidency.

Go back and read the Constitution, especially the 12th Amendment. If Obama is declared ineligible, then the Electoral College will not be able to pick a candidate, because no one will have a majority. Then it goes to the House which MUST CHOOSE from the 3 remaining candidates receiving the most electoral votes. Only McCain is in this category (Biden is NOT a candidate for President), since he is the only oneother than Obama to gain electoral votes, and thus it would fall to him.

In the end, we’d have McCain and Biden, Prez and VP.

The electors have to cast their ballots first. If they find out that O is not eligible, most will cast their ballots fro some other Dim, for President. That could be Biden, but it could be someone else just as well.

After they cast their votes, and the tally sheets are sent to the President of the Senate (the current VP, the eviil Dick Cheney) is as early as the House and Senate could get involved. But they must pick from the top 3 electoral vote getters, who can qualify, which leaves McCain for President.
