One bit of info I have turned up: The birth announcement in the paper was not submitted by the family. There are two, and in 1961 the papers would gather births, deaths and divorces from the bureau of vital statistics then print them in the Sunday paper.
I am not repeating falsehoods—none of this has been proven either way. There is a lot of speculation and spin, along with facts, but much is still open to interpretation. I do agree with all here that the release of the long bc would go a long way towards untangling all this.
One of your earlier posts claimed that the birth announcement contained the place of birth. Then there was all this falderole resulting about the possibility of a far ranging conspiracy to obtain Natural status when that was not the point at all.
That announcement is of tangential import to this issue.
