It would take a title search to have that done, I read the articles which “The Honolulu Advertiser” published to find out the addresses for the principles and had some discussions with a Freeper who lived on Ohau and drove taxi there in the 70’s. According to the Freeper the area listed on the birth announcement is a very high priced area which is more often owned by snow birds and since it is on the water side of the island an extremely desirable area too expensive for a furniture salesman and his bank working wife! The Freeper also said that 7 miles is considered a very long way in Hawaii. I went to google maps and started plugging in the addresses after putting the University as the main point. At the end I plugged in the birth announcement address of 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy and it showed plainly the distance from the addresses of: 2277 Kamehameha Ave.(1st home for the Dunhams according to Jr)
2234 University Ave.(home Jr remembered)
1617 S. Beretania St (apt of Dunhams after Ann went to Idonesia)
Atherton Y.M.C.A. where Sr lived when he first arrived
625 11th Ave. small single story house Sr lived in until leaving Hawaii June 22,1962
I invite you to do the same and the map speaks for itself. Make sure you plug in the ba address last as google has been playing games with it! I sure wish Hawaii had easier spelled names!
Here's some thoughts I posted on another thread:
1. There are three reported witnesses (grandmother and two half-siblings) to his birth in Kenya....
NONE to his birth in HI. No Dr, Nurse, neighbor,family member, friend has come forward to say they were there or had memories of THE ONES birth. (Even his now deceased grandmother was kept from all interviews.)
2.Specific statements have been made regarding the African birth: Male child born to Sr and SAD in Coast Provincial General Hospital, Mombasa, Kenya,......
There are at least two hospitals that have been named as possible places of birth in HI but no confirmation of either. Sister and he have conflicting stories, and IIRC he even contradicts himself.
3.BOTH Kenya and HI has said they cannot release information, yet we know that until 1972, HI registered foreign births and then issued BC based on information from outside sources.
4. It is alleged as a young man that he traveled using other than US passport and that he did not register for the draft. If he was indeed having his tuition paid as a foreign exchange student, these would make perfect sense, and thereby present a need to keep his university records from exposing him. He perpetrated fraud on the government even back then.
