For some republicans - no candidate is ever good enough or conservative as them.

It’s the Michael Savage Syndrome.

They just extended the Turnpike based on the money they collected at no cost to anyone except the people that drive the Turnpike.

They must not let big trucks travel on it then. Because if they do everyone pays for it, and you pay for it twice. It's just another tax increase.

I agree. I fled a democRAT state to come to Texas for a reason. Texas is what America used to be, and has jobs galore. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that Texas is run entirely by the GOP?

Hopefully it will stay a GOP state but in the last few years it is trending back to the Democrats at the state level government.

Example in 2002 the GOP took over the state house by a 82-68 margin. It has been steadily down hill since then to where this election it will either be 76-74 or a 75-75 split based upon the outcome of district 17 which is in a runoff. The state Senate remains strongly republican but the democrats gained one seat this time and have enough that they can dictate what comes up for consideration in the senate.

I think Texas is getting to many immigrants both legal and illegal..... lol.

Meanwhile TENNESSEE is Republican for the first time since the civil war. There’s good news out there, but the drive-bys will never say a peep.

That’s good and I hope it continues and they gain even more control.

From your original post:

(the cervical cancer-causing infection inoculation).

My deepest apologies sir! I did indeed misinterpret your post. That will teach me to cook dinner and post at the same time. I reread your post during the dish-washing phase of my evening duties. Please forgive me.

I still want God to Bless Texas though.

Not only are you forgiven, but I have it on the highest authority that your request for a blessing upon Texas has been granted!

Exactly! Gig ‘em! The one reason I know Rick Perry is good people is his Aggie ring. He is pretty cute too!

Has he made any statements about Ramos & Compean? If he isn’t for clemency for these men, that will tell me a lot.

If he was, don't you think you'd have heard about it by now, especially here? And what's this sh*t about his bitching up Palin's press conference?

So far he sounds like a dickhead to me.

he was talking like they were all welcome to come here

I don't know where you are at... but, where I'm at in Texas and where I've been in Texas (which is all over the state)--- they ARE HERE.. with an attitude, spray painting all over everything and taking over everything. Perry is all hat, & no cow when it comes to enforcing the laws on illegals entering &/or in the Great State of Texas. In fact, San Antonio, the state capital, is a sanctuary city. Fence my foot. He could start rounding up illegals, if he really wanted, at just about any local WIC office. He doesn't care. Like most politicians, he sees the invaders as future voters. I won't even go to Brownsville anymore because I can't speak Spanish fluently, and it's like entering straight into Mexico.

Perry did a great job yesterday at that news conference with Palin at the governors conference. /s

Like there would be anything near the coverage without her. Another botched chance with Republican leadership, who are again eating their own.

“I say that about Mr. Perry as a good thing actually. As far as I go, picture Billy Dee Williams.”

Not bad. Billy Dee always got the chicks for sure. Btw, as a Texan, I am pro Perry. Off subject for this string; but I am becoming extremely tired of Kay Bailey Hutcherson and her continual “testing the water” for governor. If she wants to come back to Texas, then I say it should be to raise her kids, maybe run for Prez of her local PTA or something.

“I don’t know where you are at... but, where I’m at in Texas and where I’ve been in Texas (which is all over the state)-— they ARE HERE..”

Here in Abilene and in Lubbock, Odessa, and Amarillo they have about taken over. They are rude and arrogant and everywhere you look. No telling how many of them managed to “vote” for Obama with fake ID’s.

It depends on what Perry means by the word “amnesty.” McCain said his plan wasn’t an amnesty. Obama is against amnesty. Has Perry said specifically how he will treat the 12 to 20 million illegals already here? That is the real litmus test. If he says they must get to the back of the line, pay a fine, and learn English, this is an amnesty. Anything that allows the illegals to stay and work here is an amnesty.
