It gives people hope to believe in some conspiracy. This way, they don't have to confront the real issues of why they lost.
For the last eight years, the other side has relied on the "selected, not elected" meme to keep them comfortable. Of course, we laughed at them as our guy sat in the Oval Office signing legislation.
Now with the shoe on the other foot, some people are going to rely on the "Obama is a Kenyan" meme to keep them comfortable. Naturally, the Democrats will laugh at them while their guy sits in the Oval Office signing legislation.
And while all this Birth Certificate crap is going on, the Democrats are blatantly stealing a Senate seat in Minnesota and nobody is paying any attention.
“And while all this Birth Certificate crap is going on,”
Have you read the posted petition for a writ of mandate? The birth certificate is only one hope to remove him. There are several and none have been explained. Ignoring the US Constitution when several valid unanswered questions remain should be unforgivable for most conservatives.
Yeah I guess but when they start with the "Bush is in on it conspiracies" it has the potential to stamp this site as Kookville. People need to take a breath and ask themselves why not even McCain and Palin are pushing this? They had the most to gain from this, yet they never even hinted at it. Not even the 527s who ran the Wright ads against McCain's wishes would touch this. They knew they'd lose credibility and be branded kooks.
Some of us can multitask. We are paying attention to the 3 Senate races that are "at risk", two of which are awaiting recounts, a third having gone to a runoff. What do you expect those of us outside those three states to DO? Given that unlike the other side, we have jobs that we must go to and/or do.
