This site lost a lot in performance when the tabs and feeds were added. It used to be a lot better, imo.

I would imagine that brittle means a bit fragile and not running at peak performance.

I trust John to bring it up to speed and even with the new additions you mentioned it will be faster and more efficient than ever in the near future.
