Frankly, it's only a matter of time before this forum begins to understand her immigration views are pretty much the same as John McCain's, and most likely one of the prerequisites of her selection.
This issue is critical to many of us here, especially those in the border states that have borne the brunt of lax enforcement. IMHO, it is far better that we vet these views now than several years down the road, unless we want to blow off another election.
I'm sure I'll be flamed but I don't have time to respond. Gotta get off to work now and redistribute some wealth.
I am afraid you are correct.
That having been said, I think there might be a chance to change her mind.
She has no formal experience with this problem and more than likely her position has been formed by talking to McCain.
Unlike the stubborn jackass McCain, there might be an opportunity to turn her around on this issue.

Truth be told, you’re both probably on to something since illegal immigration is NOT a big issue in Alaska, all things considered. In fact most of the immigrants are Japanese, Korean, and Pacific Islanders, and not Mexican. She has never really to worry about them as a major problem.
