What amazes me most about Alinsky and his followers is how open they are in their writings about their methods and goals.

They don’t want to help poor people, which could best be achieved by helping them stop being poor.

They want to keep them poor so they can be organized as a permanent political force. Poor people are just a convenient means to use towards the end of bringing the organizers to power. Democracy is not a goal, only an interim stage.

They don’t even attempt to hide any of this. They apparently can’t see that anyone might view using human beings in this cynical way as evil.

It shouldn't. Consider Hitler and Mein Kampf. It was published in 1925 and was available about 8 years before he was Chancellor of Germany. It spelled out what his goals were and was very public as well.

And no, for those who quibble, Godwin's law is not in effect here. My comparison is valid.
