I agree that the sentence handed down in the Compeon and Ramos case was a bit over he top, but there are facts in the case beyond what is popularly being reported. If Compeon and Ramos had simply shot a fleeing drug runner, probably nothing much would have been made of it beyond a reprimand for poor marksmanship. However, the filed a false report and destroyed evidence in an attempt to cover up the incident, and that was what they were indicted for. I don't think they are totally innocent, but I think the prosecution was overly zealous.
The other case involving Schultz shot by the FBI is just plain wrong. The FBI can't be allowed to go around shooting people unless they are White Separatists or happen to live in “Compounds”. /s
