I did not post my beliefs or opinions. I posted part of an essay stating what God’s Word says about the draft and/or national service. In answer to your question, yes it is forbidden by Scripture at ALL times because it is the removal of innocent persons against their will, ...whether it is during wartime or during a time of planting trees to save the environment.

If your neighbor does not have the right to walk into your house and steal your belongings from your home because he doesn’t have any furniture, and needs some furniture for his own home, then he also does not have the right to walk into your home and walk out with your children because he has some other idea.

Hi again, I missed the second question you asked:

“Are you going so far as to say that all taxation is stealing?”

Scripture says to render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar’s, so I don’t see where a person could say “all taxation is stealing” given that verse.

As far as what is the proper amount of taxation, I have no idea, so I can’t answer that.
